After 15 years and 453 customers running their books on our software, I kept seeing the same thing: owners and their teams buried in repetitive data entry. AI can finally take that away — but only if the owner stays in control and the books can’t go wrong. That’s why we built maaya.works.
I’ve spent my career building financial software for real businesses across 13 countries. The software got better every year; the data-entry burden never really left.
When AI matured, the temptation was to bolt a chatbot onto the side. We didn’t want that. We wanted AI that does the work and earns trust — by showing its reasoning and waiting for a human.
So we rebuilt it on the one thing we know cold: the books.
